When it comes to your most valuable jewelry and fine watches, it’s important to understand their monetary value. However, the exact worth of your precious pieces may be unknown or change over time. Whether you’ve inherited an heirloom or you’ve developed your own collection, we recommend getting an appraisal every few years. At Davis Jewelers, we specialize in providing timely evaluations with detailed reports that quantify the exact value of your jewelry and watches. Prices vary starting at $75 per item.Keep in mind that we do not appraise non-jewelry items at this time.

Our Process

Step 1

Before your appraisal, gather any certificates, insurance reports, sales receipts, warranties or letters regarding each piece. With this documentation, we’ll be able to provide you with the most accuracy.

Step 2

When you come in, our service team will evaluate each piece and make recommendations on what should be appraised. Your items will be kept in our vault until our GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Graduate Gemologist and Certified Insurance Appraiser performs a full professional appraisal. If all you need is diamond or gold testing, we do that for free while you wait. We’ll also update you throughout the process at no additional charge.

Step 3

After your appraisal is completed, you’ll receive documentation with a description of the piece as well as a current value. We detail the necessary information your insurance company needs in order to replace the item in the event of loss, theft or extreme damage.
